The Jeff Erlanger Accessible Playground at Rennebohm Park officially opened last week following moving speeches remembering the disability rights advocate.

Steven Skolaski will retire as President of the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation effective December 31, 2022. Jenni Jeffress will assume the President position effective January 1, 2023.

For its third year in a row, the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation is providing stipends to Edgewood College students with unpaid internships through the Inclusive Internship Project.

In memory of Madison resident and disability rights advocate Jeff Erlanger, the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation has donated $100,000 to help build an accessible playground named after him in 2022 in Oscar Rennebohm Park on the West side.

The UW-Madison’s Odyssey Project has received a $300,000 grant from the Oscar Rennebohm Foundation to fund its Odyssey Beyond Bars program, which offers college courses to Wisconsin prison inmates.

In May 2021, construction will begin for a new, affordable workforce apartment complex in Middleton. Another complex is slated to be completed in 2022 in Fitchburg, and another has been proposed in Waunakee.

The Oscar Rennebohm Foundation & Madison Community Foundation donated a combined grant of $100,000 to create a statue of former Wisconsin Secretary of State Velvalea “Vel” Phillips to be placed on the state capitol grounds across from Hamilton Street.

The Oscar Rennebohm Foundation donated $500,000 to a fund that supports undergraduate and graduate nursing students with a stipend to alleviate the expense of attending UW-Madison.
